On its own, ‘Triple Nine’ doesn’t offer audiences much intrigue. A heist thriller? Where’s the hook? Well, the hook is apparently the illustrious cast, which already includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Casey Affleck and Kate Winslet. But now a bushel of stars are in the process of joining, as well, all of who are hotly in demand.
According to Deadline, 2013 breakout star Michael B. Jordan (‘Fruitvale Station‘), Wonder Woman herself Gal Gadot and lovable ‘Breaking Bad‘ star Aaron Paul are in talks to join ‘Triple Nine,’ along with Teresa Palmer of ‘Warm Bodies.’ The film is directed by John Hillcoat of such films as ‘Lawless‘ and ‘The Road,’ as well as that infamous 2014 Super Bowl commercial for Coke that caused a stir among anti-gay groups for featuring gay dads.
‘Triple Nine’ centers around a troupe of crooked cops, who are blackmailed by the Russian mob into committing a seemingly impossible heist job. To pull it off, the crew sets up a 999 (police code for “officer down”) by setting up a rookie cop to die, but the plan is turned upside down when said rookie ruins everything.
Virtually every member of the eventual cast has had a big year — Ejiofor wowed audiences with his portrayal as free man-turned-slave Solomon Northup in Steve McQueen’s ‘12 Years a Slave,’ Gal Gadot landed the role of a lifetime in Zack Snyder’s upcoming ‘Batman vs. Superman‘ movie, Aaron Paul is segwaying from ‘Breaking Bad’ onto the big screen with ‘Need for Speed,’ Casey Affleck debuted ‘Out of the Furnace‘ with Christian Bale and landed the lead in the upcoming Boston Strangler movie, Kate Winslet got a Golden Globe nom for ‘Labor Day,’ and Michael B. Jordan is on every director’s most-wanted list and is reportedly attached to the role of Human Torch in Josh Trank’s forthcoming ‘Fantastic Four.’ (Whew!) Needless to say, we’re excited to see these folks together in one film.
‘Triple Nine’ will hit theaters some time in 2015.
Superhero movie fans may get to see a lot of Wonder Woman in the next few years.
Gal Gadot, who’s set to play the iconic superheroine in the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” film, told Israeli talk show “Good Evening With Gai Pines” that she’s locked into a three-picture deal (viaBatman-News.com).
That’s par for the course with superhero franchises. Gadot’s co-star, Ben Affleck, also signed a multiple-movie deal to play Batman, starting with the “Man of Steel” follow-up.
The talk show also revealed that Gadot will make $300,000 per movie and will begin filming “Batman vs. Superman” in May. That fits with the movie’s new timeline; Warner Bros. recentlypushed back the release date by 10 months to “allow the filmmakers time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story.”
“Batman vs. Superman” will now hit theaters May 6, 2016. Watch Godot’s interview (in Hebrew) below!

Welcome to the first post in the SFTB (Started From the Bottom) series which looks at Hollywood stars who have risen quickly to fame. Since ladies come first, here’s Gal Gadot.
You probably recognize this gorgeous woman from her the Fast and Furious series, in which she plays Gisele, the ass-kicking, gun-toting, and jaw-dropping Mossad agent. If you don’t, here’s a refresher:
(Side-note: it’s awesome that the hottest girl of the franchise got with the Asian guy.)
The 28-year-old Israeli actress made recent Hollywood news when she was cast as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman movie. But it doesn’t end there. Gal signed a three-picture deal with Warner Bros, which means she will return as Wonder Woman in the Justice League movie and her own solo feature in the coming years. We should know by now that if you’re playing a superhero on the big screen these days, you’re bound to become a superstar (see Chris Evans).
She has already been receiving flack for being cast as Wonder Woman due to her thin body frame and lack of muscles, but this girl can literally kick ass. At 19, she served two years in the Israel Defense Forces (so she probably knows Krav Maga), played a variety of sports, and did her own stunts in the F&F movies.
During her modeling years, she won Miss Israel in 2004 and in 2007, she was featured in Maxim’s Girls of the Israeli Defense Forces.
Two years later, she got her big break when she starred in Fast & Furious. She reprised her role in two more sequels, after playing smaller parts in Date Night and Knight and Day.
She’s come a long way since her first U.S. film debut. I can’t wait until Batman Vs. Superman (or whatever title they finally decide on) finally comes out because I know Gal will be a great Wonder Woman. Let’s hope Ben Affleck does the same.
Gal Gadot started from Gisele in Fast & Furious, and now she’s Wonder Woman.
Thanks to a heads up from one of our twitter follows, Laneyboggs – I’ve uploaded a UHQ version of Gal in upcoming March 2014 issue of Total Film UK to Gal Gadot Online’s photo gallery. You can click on the photo below or the gallery link. Enjoy!
I’ve added photos of Gal from Castro photoshoots and candids as well as some from fashion runways to Gal Gadot Online’s photo gallery. The photos aren’t HQ but are decent quality, and you can check them all out by clicking on the gallery links below or the thumbnails.
Warner Bros and Zack Snyder have found their Wonder Woman. They’ve cast Israeli-born actress Gal Gadot in the iconic role and she will be part of Batman Vs. Superman, the film that will see Henry Cavillsquare off with Ben Affleck. Gadot has been in three Fast & Furious films, as well as Knight And Day and Date Night. Given that Warner Bros has bolstered its starpower with Affleck and has Cavill returning from the summer hit Man Of Steel, it makes sense to groom new stars in the supporting roles, the way that Marvel has done. All this is clearly gearing toward the long-awaited Justice League film, all based on the DC Comics characters.
Said Snyder: “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”
