Netflix unveiled a first-look teaser of its upcoming actioner Heart of Stone during its global fan event Tudum. The spy thriller, headlined by Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, also features Bollywood star Alia Bhatt in a pivotal role that marks her Hollywood debut. The teaser video shows selected footage and behind-the-scene moments from the film. Gadot calls the movie an “extremely epic,” “super-grounded, raw action thriller,” and says her character “lives off the adrenaline” of her escapades. From the piece, those actions seem to include motorcycle chases through the Alps, icy knife fights, cars careening through the streets of Lisbon — and even breakneck skydiving.
Gal Gadot spoke about playing the Evil Queen in Disney’s forthcoming live-action version of Snow White during D23 Expo, which took place at the Anaheim Convention Center, on Friday, September 9th. She was joined by the upcoming movie’s leading lady, Rachel Zegler, who said it was ‘an honor’ to be playing the iconic Disney princess. Gadot described the role to Deadline as ‘very different than what I had done before’ and that she is ‘used to playing the other end of where the heart should be.’
Netflix thriller Heart of Stone, starring Jamie Dornan and Gal Gadot, is set to film in Portugal this summer.
Filming of the SkyDance Media movie has been taking place in the UK for the past few months and is set to move to Portugal later this month. Reports suggest it will be in the capital, Lisbon.
The plot of the film, from Skydance Media, is very much under wraps, with The Aeronauts director Tom Harper calling the shots from a screenplay by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder.
The producing line-up includes Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger, Gadot and Varsano for Pilot Wave and Julie Lynn and Bonnie Curtis of Mockingbird.
On June 28, macaroni and cheese brand GOODLES will launch its first vegan flavor. Aptly named Vegan Is Believin’, the new vegan mac and cheese will be the first dairy-free offering under the GOODLES brand. The first brand to launch under parent company Gooder Foods, GOODLES was founded last year by actress Gal Gadot (known for her leading role in 2020 film Wonder Woman 1984); former Annie’s President Deb Luster, CEO Jen Zeszut (former CEO at baby food brand Cerebelly), Paul Earle (brand entrepreneur and professor at Northwestern); and Molly Michet, a R&D leader and food scientist formerly of Dreyers, CLIF Bar and Plum Organics.
The brand’s mission is to disrupt the boxed mac and cheese space by bringing more nutrition to the category with its proprietary pasta formulation that features 21 nutrients extracted from plant-based ingredients such as kale, mushrooms, and chickpeas. Kari Skogland’s Cleopatra is now being eyed by Universal following its initial setup at Paramount. Some of Skogland’s most notable credits come from television projects such as Boardwalk Empire, Vikings, The Americans, and The Handmaid’s Tale, with her most recent being Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In Skogland’s first feature film since 2008, Cleopatra will star Gal Gadot as the historic Queen of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt who managed an intricate relationship with the Roman Republic as the lover of Julias Caesar and later, Marc Antony. News of Skogland’s involvement came last year following Patty Jenkins’ exit as director, a decision reportedly made in part to focus on Wonder Woman 3 and Rogue Squadron. She paired the look with black kitten heels, which included thin strappy detailing. With this year marking Tiffany’s 150th anniversary in London, the exhibition is a celebration of the luxury jewelry brand’s legacy in the capital.
Gal was seen shooting action-packed scenes for the upcoming Netflix American spy film Heart of Stone in Shropshire on Wednesday, May 24.
