Gal Gadot To Have Smaller Role In ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ While Her ‘Wonder Woman’ Movie Gears Up

It has been made clear that Gal Gadot’s casting as the new Wonder Woman was not well received by fans and experts alike.

While it’s been highly criticized, Warner Bros. hs reportedly decided to push through with the casting, even signing the Israeli actress to multi picture deal.

And while the “Wonder Woman” standalone film is not coming until June 23, 2017, Gal Gadot is reportedly going to have a rather smaller role in the upcoming “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice,” where she will finally be introduced as Wonder Woman.

According to Kpopstarz, Gadot, who’s done filming scenes from the movie is reportedly not doing any major fight scenes.

“According to reported rumors, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman hasn’t buffed herself up enough yet for the Wonder Woman part. She will reportedly be in for at least one full year to achieve the Amazon Princess’ physique. Gal Gadot has been documenting her progress on Twitter,” the publication reported.

The said report most likely came prior to the new trailer’s release, where Gal Gadot was seen in what seems to be a major fighting seen.

While some felt satisfied with Gadot’s appearance on the recently release trailer,  famed comic book writer Grant Morrison thinks otherwise.

In an interview with Nerdist Morrison openly expressed his disappointed in Gal Gadot’s performance in the trailer.

“[The warrior woman thing is] not what [Wonder Woman creator] William Marston wanted, that’s not what he wanted at all!” said Morrison. “His original concept for Wonder Woman was an answer to comics that he thought were filled with images of blood-curdling masculinity, and you see the latest shots of Gal Gadot in the costume, and it’s all sword and shield and her snarling at the camera. Marston’s Diana was a doctor, a healer, a scientist.”

Despite the endless criticisms, it looks like Warner Bros. is determined in pushing through with “Wonder Woman” standalone film as new update has been released.

While the storyline has still remained a secret, new development suggests that the movie has already found the actor who’ll play Steve Trevor, Diana Prince’s love interest.

“Star Trek” actor Chris Pine, like Gal Gadot has reportedly closed a multi-movie deal with Warner Bros. to play opposite Diana Prince, The Wrap reported.

Patty Jenkins will direct “Wonder Woman,” which will be produced by Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder together with Charles Roven and Richard Suckle of Atlas Entertainment. Jason Fuchs was tapped to write the script.

Wonder Woman set to be introduced next year in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” before her solo movie schedule to hit big screens on June 23, 2017.
